2008 Volvo s80 - Head Gasket Change

Asked by Gary Oct 29, 2019 at 12:58 PM about the 2008 Volvo S80 T6 AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Car was overheated due to a thermostat failure.
Changed the thermostat and while waiting to see if
the heat would blow warm air, the car started
running really rough and then began blowing white
smoke. Also coolant in the oil. I am trying to
understand the difficulty in this repair and
appreciate any information i can find here. I'm
devastated as i loved this car. Had it for many
years and it was the best car I've ever owned.
