How do I clear "ERROR CODE" from my radio?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I put a new battery in and went online to get the radio serial # and code to
reset the clock and radio. The radio says "ERROR CODE" and won't let me
enter the code to reset it. How do I clear it so I can enter the code?

Pull the radio and get the serial number off the back, then call Honda USA. Ask for the reset code and they will give it to you. Re-install your radio, but not before writing down the serial number and keeping it in your glove box for future reference! I've had to do this several times for my Honda, so I learned the hard way!

I have the code but I can't enter it. The radio says "ERROR CODE" and won't let me enter the code. I need to get it cleared somehow so I can enter the code.
How did u get it cleared? I have 2008 Honda CRV with Radio Code Error and AutoZone disconnected and reconnected and still nothing. He only did it a few minutes and wondering if needs to be longer
I disconnected over night but it is still showing error What am I doing wrong?
How to disconnect? How to cancel "CODE ERROR E"?
You'll need to get some professional help I think. I fixed this same exact issue very easily by jus writing down the VIN number and using a website called radiocodevault.com/honda and they have a service where they email you instructions and stuff. Super easy solution for anyone who needs it.

I used that radiocodevault.com website mentioned above and they helped me. Got my radio back within 2 hours. Thanks GuruRTP4 (weird username, I guess its the default)
If you get error E on your radio screen. Just disconnect your battery terminal for a couple of minutes and then reconnect it. That will allow you to start again imputing your code. I had to wait until my cd changer quit cycling before entering my code.
