where is the oil filter located?

On the newer vehicles, some manufacturers have gone to a cartridge-style filter, usually located on top of the engine under one of the plastic cover plates. Toyota traditionally mounted their oil filters in front of the engine near the exhaust manifold. I would contact a dealer service department as most manufacturers have become rather skilled at "hiding" their oil filters with engine cowling details.

It is not a cartridge filter, still the screw on type, front lower part of the engine
