my 2008 charger se shut down while driving? code 0562 only given?

Asked by ribman45 Aug 13, 2012 at 03:09 PM about the 2008 Dodge Charger SE RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

car shutdown while driving jumps did nothing but made battery smoke(short) test showed code 0562 only. dealer inspection passed except battery performance test(failed) even my grinding rear right brake pad passed. all this on a car that won't start old battery still hooked up?. mech reccommened it needed a long block replacement and water outlet valve for engine (lock up). do this make any sense. P.S no oil leaks, no overheating, just a quick oil lite flicker before shutdown.

Try Checking the Alternator. P0562 is low voltage in the electrical system. Get it checked before you buy a new one though.
