Help 2008 ford f150 cranks no start

Asked by John Mar 11, 2020 at 08:06 PM about the 2008 Ford F-150 STX 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2008 Ford F150 4.6 L she needed a little TLC so I
had to replace the power steering pump and the AC
compressor along with the dryer on the AC. I also had a
transmission line that was leaking so I needed to replace
that as well. To get to all this easily I removed the radiator
along with the AC condenser and everything out of the front
so I could get to the all the components. I got everything
installed and I also installed a new serpentine belt. In order
to get to the dryer I had to remove the ECM out of the top
passenger side area under the hood. Battery was
disconnected when I did this. I put everything back together
made sure everything was plugged in and now the truck
cranks but no start. Even tried squirting starting fluid into
the air cleaner but still can't get it to fire at all. I have
checked all the sensors but no go. Been stuck on this for 3
days tried everything that I can think of.

If the fuse is ok then Just disconnect the negative battery cable and turn on the headlight switch for about 30 seconds, turn off headlight switch and reconnect the battery cable, this put the ECM back to factory default settings.
