my sterring rack is leaking,should I buy a rebuild kit or a rebuilt one?? how hard is it to do with a rebuild kit?

The boot broke away & I reattached it with a clamp,this was about 3 months ago. dirt must of got in it so now it's leaking(seals). A rebuilt 1 is $200, a rebuild kit is $40.00. Any suggestions on what to do?? How hard is it to do the rebuild kit??

Never have rebuilt one. Honestly didnt know they offered rebuild kits. I would put the reman one in and be done. But thats just me.

Remember the difference. Rebuilt most often means rebuilt up to the point of failure. Check out the price for a remanu.
