Synthetic motor oil?

I have a 2008 dodge dakota 3.7 v6
can I run full synthetic motor oil

Yes,but once you do use it,you will have to continue to.

Can I just switch or should I use part synthetic instead of full right away

When I bought my Corolla it had conventional oil in it and I just switched to Mobil1. Important! Get a quality filter, all filters are not the same. $4 filters are junk that can even restrict oil flow
