My Dodge has a leak in the transmission line, I’m hoping to nurse it as is until
I get laid off and can get it in the shop. To this end, I bought some STP
automatic transmission fluid ATF+4 at Walmart because the auto section  guy
said it would work despite saying on the bottle “for use with certain
CHRYSLER” vechicles.
My manual states my truck takes Mopar ATF+4 Automatic Transmission Fluid.
Will I be ok using the STP band or is there something in it that could damage
my truck. I’ve heard stories that the wrong transmission fluid (those designed
for one car manufacturer but used on another) can blow gaskets.
Any advice would be welcome.

Thanks. I thought so, just the whole “for use with certain Chrysler vehicles” gave me pause.
