The chevy garage just changed the oil pressure sensor and the gauge still drops to zero

Use caution you might actually have low oil pressure. Also check the connection. If it loose this can happen too.

If you begin to hear ticking or knocking it is low oil pressure and stop driving it before you blow engine

The engine is not making any knocking sound. The engine is running good. What connection are you talking about?

Seems lots of users having issue like this. Replacing the oil pressure sending unit repairs most. That thing is a bear to reach way back there on the back of the block. I would just double check that they fully snapped the wire harness into the unit.
