Question type: Maintenance & Repair
My engine hot, a/c shut down warning light came on and the water temperature gauge is not moving from the 160 mark? Does anyone know why or had this problem? Could it be my thermostat sticking?

If the vehicle can not manage it’s temp it will not let you run ac. Doesn’t matter if it hot or cold. Your engine sounds like it is running cold. Normally that is the thermostat getting week or stuck open.
GM engineers know about this very common problem and have yet to find a solution. The internet is abound with 'fixes' or attempts to fix, but none are permanent.
Having same problem too what can be done ?
