what causes a 5.3 litre flex fuel engine hard to start in warm weather or after engine is warm from running?

It takes 2 full ingition turn overs to start the engine.  Then runs fine.  In cold weather it starts right up.  I noticed the problem after I stopped using E 85 flex fuel and began regular fuel.  It has been on regular fuel for several months now.

you may want to have your fuel pressure regulator checked- you shouldn't have to crank it over twice to start the truck with fuel injection.
