change transmissions fluid

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
DEALER IS TELLING ME I NEED TO CHANGE TRANSMISSIONS FLUID, POWER STEERING FLUID AND BRKAE FLUID ALL RIGHT NOW WITH 33,000 MILES. I THOUGHT THESE VANS COULD GO FOR 100,000 MILE BEFORE CHANGING MAJOR FLUIDS.

Can you even change the transmission fluid? I thought it was sealed? We have gone through 3 front brake re-do's (grinding again at 66k!!), a new radiator, and a new radio due to the other one shocking us when we touched it. Now our van is making a really loud sound humming sound that is getting louder each time we drive it, sounds like the transmission? I can't even hear the radio over it! We've had so many recall notices on this van! 2 in the last week, and at LEAST 5 prior that I remember. Never again, this is ridiculous!
Dealer is trying to get into your money.

I have a 2008 dodge grand caravan sxt as well and has been nothing but a nightmare from day one… the humming is either ur hub assembly or possibly drive axle which I have had to replace both… and way more. Then that… .
It is, that sound that is deafening is the "hub assembly". I did not know what it was, but after letting it go for awhile, I finally took it in and they said it was really bad. They dont hold up like the old vehicles, as I guess that is typical for front wheel drive! Had to do both front hubs about 6 months apart. Other wise it is a sound good van, 2008 Dodge grand caravan.
My 2006 has been flawless, save for rust at bottom edges. 180K KMS. Never change any fluids except oil., do brakes and rotors myself. Dealer did intake gasket as warranty.
It is very foolish not to change the transmission fluid.
