Engine reeves up on hills

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Recently, my 2008 Mini Cooper Base has been reeving up. Feels like the
transmission is slipping then re-engages. Any comments are welcomed.

Check the transmission fluid level. If the trans is sealed take it to a transmission shop.

Ok but how do I know if the transmission is sealed? Obviously there must be a Dipstick to check I'm thinking or a Fluid Canister?

2008, OK, how many miles are on your car?? I've heard that these cars have many problems.
