2008 mini cooper S coolant leaks

Take it somewhere and have a pressure test done on the cooling system.
Mini Cooper S models are notorious for coolant leaks. Take it to a MINI Dealer and pay to have them diagnose the issue. They will pressure test the system to determine where the system is leaking. If it's leaking around the thermostat housing, it may be covered under emissions warranty in CA for 2008 and later models. Heater core or radiator replacement will run you around 800- 1400. This is uncommon, but not unheard of. Thermostat replacement (out of warranty) will be around 500- 700. This is far more common. If it's simply a hose, that should be much cheaper. Currently, thermostat housing units are on back order for ~2-3 weeks. Your local MINI dealer may offer you a loaner vehicle for the duration of service.
I see someone knows Mini Coopers, nice answer. No body likes to answer on these since they are so problematic....
" If it's leaking around the thermostat housing, it may be covered under emissions warranty in CA for 2008 and later models" If there are no leaks, and the entire thermostat housing needs to be replaced, would this still fall under the emissions warranty in CA?
