2009 Nissan Murano

Asked by GuruX96BZ Sep 30, 2018 at 02:41 PM about the 2009 Nissan Murano LE AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2009 Nissan Murano LE AWD. The vehicle has around 130K and I'm
the original owner. The "Service Engine Soon" malfunction indicator light
(usually means emission control system or CVT) came on Friday. On Saturday,
I loosened and tightened the gas cap several times and also filled the vehicle
with gas. The light continued to stay on through several driving cycles. I
stopped by a NAPA store this morning (Sunday) thinking I might need a new
gas cap. They scanned the codes and came up with p0011 (I think this has
something to do with camshaft timing). They cleared the code and told me to
see a mechanic. I drove the couple of miles to home and the light did NOT
come back on. Thoughts?
