timing belt replace

I have a 2008 rio and I replaced the timing belt at 60,000 do I do that every
60,000 miles?

some last 30 some 100 thousand... depends on many things...like dust, heat. how hard you push the engine..

i have a 2011 KAI RIO with a 1600 engine, the timing belt broke as i was driving. i'm being told that the valves may have been damage when this happened. my question is - is it possible to damage the valves when a timing belt breaks?
