This vehicle has some bad issues concerning the engine timing chain tensioner going bad..causing the chains to stretch and do damage to the engine if IT breaks or screw up the timing.. fix will cost anywhere from $1800 to $3500 depending on when damage is determined..power steering, heating systems and wheel bearing hubs are a common problem also...do yourself a favor stay away from the Xl7 or at least do a extenisvive background in the net for potential problems fir your model and maybe a car fax covering repairs..I have a 2007 with less then 70,000 mine has all the problems I. mentioned above..plus the CD player in the radio just quit..found out it is another common problem...I like the vehicle looks and handling but just too many costly comon problems..GOOD LUCK..
Don't waste your money I have spent more money trying to get the check engine light off than I paid for it. Problem after problem with this model, wish i had asked questions and did my research before I bought it.BEWARE. It looks good, but a piece of shit
