Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just got my DM W recently and I filled up a regular
gas and a service engine soon light came on about
a day later, I went to an AutoZone and they checked
it out in a code P0442 came up I’ve talked to many
people and told them I filled it up with regular gas in
said to them that the minimum required is 91
octane. Is me filling it up with regular gas the cause?

I’ve removed the gas cap and tightened it and still the service engine soon is on, Ive seen videos and people just replaced the gas cap. Is that what I should do?
