I have an '07 and a similar thing happened to me when I needed to replace my car battery. Everything still worked, but the remote start is a bigger drain on the battery and you will lose this function when your battery is at the end of it's life. After I replaced my battery I had no further issues with remote start.

I just have the same problem and also have the check engine light on. I just removes the emc fuse for 10 sec and is working now

I was driving my GMC Acadia I pay the toll step on the gas and a puff of blue smoke came out And it turned off It won’t start

We bought a brand new alternator and battery and the battery light keeps coming on. I have a 2011 GMC Acadia. The alternator isn’t keeping the battery charged but it is brand new and I had them test it twice and they said it’s good. I don’t understand. Once the battery goes dead the car won’t start. I had a hitch installed onto my 2008 GMC Acadia last summer and have hauled my 2005 Viking Popup with it. It handled fine. I do not have the full Tow package installed which would include the tranny cooler, larger radiator, tow button, or full sized spare, etc. The shop that installed my hitch says it can pull 5,000 lbs. My Owners manual says without the tow package it can haul 2,000 lbs. So unless I would have all that other stuff installed would it be safe or would my Acadia be able to pull at least 3,500 lbs. without the other stuff. The book says with the toy package it will pull 4,500 lbs. It's so scarey to think I may be pulling something that would be dangerous or hard on my vehichle. 2 Answers
