Cluster drop out then transmission drop out also

Asked by 19Nova74 Jan 25, 2024 at 09:02 AM about the 2008 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD 1LT Extended Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

While driving the trucks cluster will go on and off repeatedly then the
transmission will drop off. I push the accelerator and it just revs up. If I shut the
truck off and wait a few minutes it will start up and be fine until it does it again.
Why does this happen?

I scanned for codes, I am getting a u0073 code and po700 which kinda explains my issues.
