security indicator light flashing

2008 mazda 6 security indicator light flashing and my car is dead. What is
causing this?

Security has been activated. Check the owner's manual for instruction on how to reset it as it is make and model specific. But this old you could also have a key chip malfunction. So if the reset didn't work then it's time for the professionals to take a look at it.
