Truck will start but then slowly die

Asked by Tlee74 Dec 09, 2020 at 05:26 PM about the 2008 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT Crew Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So one day we auto started the truck was running
fine, then jumped in and put it in drive and then it
started shaking and running bad. So I turned it off.
Ever since then it has trouble starting but
sometimes it does barely, but it slowly dies. I
checked the oil and there was barely any in there,
so I filled it up but it doesn’t fix it. The fuel pump
works, the mass air flow sensor is clean. Also when
I try the auto start it doesn’t even try to start.
