2009 dodge journey red light on dash rapid flashing

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2009 Dodge Journey that has been giving me problems for a couple of months now.  It seems to happen when I'm very low on gas, but I'm not sure if this actually has anything to do with the real problem.  It also clicks like it's the battery and the lights on the dash go from all being on, to just the white lights being on.  Up until today, after several tries, I could finally get it to start, but today, it wouldn't start at all.  AAA came out and oddly could not get to the battery since it was under other parts under the hood.  There was however a thing sticking up that allowed the AAA guy to jump it, and it started right up.  He advised to let it run for 40 minutes, which I did, but once I turned it off, it would not start again.  I did notice that after I locked the car using the keyfob, the anti-theft light was blinking rapidly for a while.  Any ideas??

The same thing is happening to me. I have never noticed the red blinking light before and I've had this car for 8 years. I just replaced the battery and it would not start. The Dodge Journey has too many hidden demons Inside wait till you have to deal with random horn honking. YouTube Dodge Journey random horn honking and believe you me that is what has happened to me with my car. I had to pull the fuses to make it stop. Now I'm having issues with the battery. And don't get me started on how many rotors I've had to replace on that car. Worst car ever!

Wow. Talk about bad luck. Our 2010 Journey has never failed us; still running great to date. Best new car I've ever bought. You all must've got a car off the line on a Friday or a Monday.

I have a 2009 dodger journey sxt. That red blinking light on the dash is your alarm system. If you sit in your car and use the fob to lock the doors the red light starts to blink. Your the fob to unlock it and the light goes away
