The journey has a limp mode that it goes into when things start to overheat and it will remain off if the car thinks it is going to be damaged by turning on check the coolant hoses under your car for leaks and check your coolant reservoir tank for cracks and your cap to make sure it is attached properly also back to the hoses there is a T shape connector that is known to break easy i would check these problems first and YouTube is an awesome tool use it!

Check the relays. I had one that was going bad and causing similar issues.

Change your crankshaft position sensor. If you can let it idle in your driveway until it shuts off then locate the crankshaft sensor and pour ice water on it.If it starts then the sensor is bad.
