keeps overheating. have to keep putting water in coolant tank everytime i drive it

You have a major leak somewhere. Pull the oil dipstick and see if it's over full and foamy. If so you have a blown intake and/or head gasket and possibly a cracked head. Hopefully it's just a hose or something simple like that. Look for a leak while the car is running if the oil IS NOT foamy. If it is foamy get it to a mechanic ASAP and don't drive it any more than you have to.
