1970 Skylark with auto trans selector on floor. Selector seems to be stuck in park. It oves easily and rotates sleeve on steering coljmn, but selector indicator on dash re,ains in park and car does not move. Pis this a mechanical connection problem, or worse?

uto transmission.  floor selector works in all positns and rotates sleeve on steering column.  Gear indicator in dash
remains in park.  Car starts and all, but does not respond to changes in drive selecor.  Anybhelp or advide is greatly
appreciated.

There is a mechanical connection between steering column and indicator. One end bolts to the steering column and a rigid wire arm connects to the selector arm on the gauge. Mine is missing too. Damned if I can find a replacement. Might have to fabricate my own part unless someone knows of a source for this part.

I am looking for the same part for a Buick Skylark and as you know. Any A Body that year will fit. even a Chevelle.
