Alignment after replacing struts

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I need struts, tires, and an alignment on my 2009 Chevy cobalt.
Money is tight so can't do it all at once.
Does the car need to be realigned after replacing struts or can I do the tires an alignment
first and struts a month later?

The top posts of the front struts are critical to the alignment. After replacing the struts, you will definitely want the alignment checked. Tires, however, are a different story. If they do not exhibit any unusual wear, just balance the new tires on the wheels and let the alignment go until you do the strut work.
Replace the struts first as bad struts will ruin new tires. This will require an alignment.
