2009 Colbalt wobble feeling in front tire area
4 Answers
Bad tire or tire out of balance. Usually those are most noticeable at around 50MPH. Rotate the tires (front to back) and see if problem follows the tire.
Also need to check the wheel bearings and ball joints and tierod ends for wear and also mis-alignment.
Thanks for the help. My husband jacked up the front & there was slight movement front- to-back when he tried to move the tires but no movement, side-to-side.
With the tire jacked up, get underneath it and try to pick it straight up by hand. If it lifts up and/or top of tire moves in/out, it's a bad ball joint. Usually you get some noise when driving down the road with a bad ball joint. You can also rock the tire side to side and watch the tie rod ends, if you see even a slight stretch to them they're bad.
