Help getting ball joint out of a malibu 2009

The best way to get a bolt out of a ball joint when I

Did you remove the nut off the top of the ball joint holding the control arm to the car? Then you need a pickle fork, or some heat and a sledge hammer to break it loose. Are the other two connections on the control arm loose and or removed?
