Question type: Maintenance & Repair

At 108k miles, I have to replace a CV half shaft on my 2009 Pontiac G6 GT 4 door sedan with 4 speed automatic and 3.5 liter engine.  I can't find the transmission model to purchase the correct parts.  Where is the Transaxle ID tag located?

EMPI and Cardone have a replacement assembly for about $60. Pull the half-shaft and check the spline count at each end. There are only two variations: 27/30 spline, and 30/34 spline. Also, if you have ABS, you need the shaft with the ABS ring on it.
