Mazda 2008 has a stalling problem along with a shut-off problem

Asked by Guru6BCL3 Mar 17, 2020 at 05:44 PM about the 2008 Mazda Tribute Hybrid Touring

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a slow acceleration and shutting off problem. The red warning stating to
pull over and turn the car off.

I’m being told it’s the throttle body. Is this true?

I’ve had this problem in the past and it was the hybrid propulsion system

Run a diagnostic with a code reader first. If in fact it's your throttle body it is either dirty or needs to be reset as it's an electronically controlled throttle body. You could have a sensor unplugged as well. Hard to say without more information.
