2009 Honda Pilot

Asked by GuruKVTY5 Dec 05, 2019 at 09:59 AM about the 2009 Honda Pilot EX 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Bought our certified used 2009 Pilot with 30,000 miles, have done all regular
maintenance according to manufacturer schedule. Replace both drive belt and
serpentine at 60000 miles, so why did the engine die at 80,000 and we face a
$5000 repair bill. Our mechanic believes something was wrong with the
engine.   What happen to this quality engine?

You need to tell us what happened. The warranty does not cover the engine?

The dealership says it is only 60K warranty on drivetrain. The replaced timing belt is less than two years old and <20K miles on it.
