2005 Honda Pilot overheating

Asked by Johnathon Apr 23, 2020 at 07:31 AM about the 2005 Honda Pilot EX AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2005 Honda Pilot Ex temperature gauge continues to
shoot up after about 5 min. My radiator is 2 years old along
with a new water pump and upgraded fan cooling unit. I
changed the thermostat, the temp sensor 1&2, tripped the
02 sensor crossing the country so all 4 of those are
changed, new air filter, and still having issues. Any
suggestions?

Do a compression test to see if the head gasket is blown , there's also a block test that checks for exhaust gases in the coolant system ,, Is there white goop under the oil fill cap ? Is the exhaust white ?
