Mercedes Key Fob question.

Asked by Guru9S1BW Jun 29, 2017 at 09:46 PM about the 2009 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class SL 550

Question type: General

After losing my last key, I went to Mercedes and got a new
one. However when I got the new key all the buttons
work, except now the key can never be detected by my
car when I try to open the door without clicking buttons or
clicking the push to start. Do any of you guys know how
to make the car "detect my key" wirelessly? THANKS!

Go into your leatherbound owners manual in the glove box. Look in the back section under "Reprogramming" your key. There is a step by step action for you to do
