My 2009 GMC Acadia Misfire

Asked by fruge12000 Dec 04, 2013 at 12:01 PM about the 2009 GMC Acadia SLE-1 FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I'm having a problem with my 09 Acadia, after it runs for a good while it will sputter for
about 4-5 seconds and the odometer display lights will flash then it pops right back up
and will run fine for a while again. The check engine light cam on and when i read the
code all it says is misfire #3 cylinder. Could it just be a bad plug making it misfire every
now and then or do i have another issue? I was going to try a tune up but it looks like i
will have to pull the intake manifold to get to the plugs and coil packs.

Sometimes bad gas or faulty plugs, watch this video: https://youtu.be/bAKvL12mhVc I had a similar issue with an Acadia under warranty, the dealer could never find an error code (2 incidents) so I tried a different brand of gasoline, never had the problem since.
