Air bag light on and off

U might have the airbag system checked with a code reader capable of reading the airbag system. If there are other intermediate problems like the cruise being on/off, or other controls on the steering wheel having the same on/off symptoms then it is the clock spring (a series of wires wound like a clock spring) behind the steering wheel that is bad. Sometimes these wires break over time due to the turning of the steering wheel.

The impact sensors behind the front bumper are also a source of trouble. They can get wet inside and develop bad electrical connections due to moisture and corrosion. Hope that helps! Jim
