The fluid level and condition are fine.I've been online all day and everything I've read say torque converter clutch and shift solenoids.

Should I replace the torque converter clutch solenoid or the shift solenoid or both

That COULD BE the pressure valve.....but in my experience for the last 8 years. CHEVROLET VEHICLES HAVE TURN INTO PILES OF CRAP. I changed my fluid beginning of 2018. It have chunks of metal all over the collector magnet. I can't upload the picture or I'd show u. It's on here under impala transmissions. BUYERS BEWARE...IVE BEEN FIGHTING GM WELL OVER A YEAR!!!! THEY DONT CARE ABOUT US ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS US BUYING THEIR JUNK!!!!! I HAD TO GO IN DEBT WITH A IMPALA WITH 111,000 MILES ON IT CAUSE THE TRANSMISSION WENT. SO I DID MYSELF A FAVOR AND BOUGHT A TOYOTA. NEVER AGAIN. GM ORODUCTS ARENT WHAT THEY USE TO BE. STAY AWAY FROM THE IMPALAS,CRUISE AND MONTE CARLO. BETTER YET STAY AWAY FROM THEM ALL. I JUST HUNG UP FROM GM AND HE WAS GOING UH HUH....UH HUH UH HUH....EVERYTHING I SAID...HE WASNT LISTENING CAUSE THEY USE TO BE THE HEARTBEAT OF AMERICA....NOW THEY ARE HEARTLESS OF AMERICA!!! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR ....BUY SOMETHING ELSE...GM REPRESENTATIVE'S DONT CARE ABOUT OUR ISSSUES!!!!!!!!

YOU GUYS!!!!!! START WITH THE FILTER AND FLUID!!!!!!!!!! IT WILL TELL YOU ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW!!!! LOOK UP YOUR VIN # IF YOUR CAR WAS MADE IN CANADA.....THEN YOUR CHANCES OF HAVING A GOOD TRANSMISSION IS VERY SLIM!!!!!! PLEASE LISTEN .......IVE BEEN FIGHTING NHTSA AND GM FOR WELL OVER A YEAR....START WITH MAINTENANCE .....CHECK UR COLLECTOR MAGNET......IF U CAN HEAR THE CLUTCH PLATES SPINNING AFTER LETTING OFF THE GAS AFTER THE MAINTENANCE.......THEN GET READY FOR THAT TRANNY TO POP!!!

This site doesn't help; no one gives any definitive advise; and if someone gets the solution they never return to tell what "the fix" or answer was.

My 2009 Impala transmission has had the same problems and been rebuilt twice in the past 2 years. G.M. knows they are junk but they don’t care at all. The local representative told me never to write Detroit again! He said that he has the final word concerning problems and he said NO! It’s no wonder people are buying foreign cars, I will next time.

I have a 2010 Chevy Impala with the same problems I dropped the transmission pan o change the filter and fluid . I find a handful of sludge built up around the magnet/ no big metal shavings so more than likely from the clutch pack. I have done this every year for 4 years but this last time it didn't even last a day. Long story short Impala =transmission problem

Hello,my name is Dyllon and I have an 08LTZ198,000 on it and my trans is acting up,down shifts 1st2nd1st2nd until I give ah little gas n it's bk to normal no problem.Guy changed my rack and pinion and my trans went nutts.Wouldnt come out of first unless I floored it,hard shift, high rpm then shift, after that took place asking as it's running,it will continue normal driving, turn it off n next start up repeat putting it to the floor step until normal driving.2weeks of that, then D was gone,3rd took it's place, repeat flooring n 3rd,2weeks of that n one day in the flooring purceedure,I put it in N cuz it hadn't shifted n RPM was too high, stopped in N,shifted to 3hit the gas n nothing.Been sitting2months,no codes for trans0073 or 0072 not related to tranny. So different ppl say different things n no money for big shops so I'm doing best I can for my baby, changed tcm, changed speed sensor silinoid, changed sensor plug, linkage had poppedoff,it's bk on ,still no move ment, only rev.so one gear is better then none I guess, next this morning I'm changing 1-4shift silinoid n I pray that is wats wrong with it.A guy said that ppl visit here n list prob but not answer n I've noticed that too,is paying the issue because,if we had money to give we would,or probly wouldn't need ya at all cause the cars n fixed. The more answers ,the more ppl visit, more ppl visit, eventually ur gonna get tons of money for answers,it's hard to make money though with out a car so and ,we are only asking for solution not for u to fly to us and personally fix it,me,id help any of you fix ur ride because that's wat real car guys do no charge, our pay is seeing you smoke tires and ah cold beer.My suggestion is,give atleast one guy an answer or imma start my own site sum way listing each answer problem first as we go listed for free, completely FREE.Heres a pic of my baby, his name's Alonzoe

I had all the same problems, my impala is a 2008 v6 3.5. It has 107k miles on it, first gear went first, I was going maybe 2 mph and it turns out first gear broke and shot through the shell. I didn't hear it due to construction near by. I leaked all my fluid without knowing. On my way back from filling my car up with gas (40 dollars by the way) I stopped at a stop sign. That's when trouble began. I new instantly my transmission was going to go out or I was low on fluid. Second gear blew out through the 3 inch hole i had in my transmission. I had no power to the tires on a railroad. My buddies luckily came by and helped me pull my car to a parking lot. I am now able to hold first and second in a singular hand, my advice is to stay away from Chevy. I regret buying that car. Bought for about 4k and put about 2.5k just for maintenance with stuff always going bad. I know cars like the back of my hand. There was no warning that the transmission was going bad. Still super confused on what happened. Now I'm left with a car the doesn't have any gears and has 17 gal of gas in it. To sum it up, Chevys are only good to siphon gas out of.
