Chevy Suburban 2009 5.3 starts on the 2nd gear

Chevy Suburban 2009 5.3 starts on the 2nd gear when on D, even with M it starts also from 2 instead from 1. any idea where to start from ?

Sounds like the transmission is in Limp mode. I pretty sure it's the shift solenoids. I believe yours has the 1-2 and 3-2 solenoids or A and B.

thank you JRKPerformax this morning it started acting normally and 1st gear is back alive. most probably it will happen again. I will keep watching and hope it will not happen again. Many thanks Akram

hello again, I have had the same issue few times since I submitted then original. I tried buying the Solenoids, however was told by the seller that my transmission does not have solenoids as it is 6 speeds. any help with this ?
