I have an 09 santa fe with 2.7 motor. I put about 50,000 a year on it. It has about 230,000 on it now. Is the 2.7 one of the motors that will be damaged if timing belt breaks?

Any vehicle risks damage to the engine if the timing belt is just warn. It is recommended to replace a timing belt every 50k and a timing chain every 100k. So to answer you question, yes, it will cause some serious damage if you let the timing belt break.
