Each bulb works fine when button is pressed. My dilemma is having them illuminate when doors open &/or keyless remote used to lock or unlock. I've already depressed the 'door' button feature for on/off with no success including the rear dome option. Dealer(s) have told me there's either a short or whole 'assembly' needs replaced. I am hoping to fine OEM part and replace myself if not too difficult. Thanks

There is a TSB on these vehicles dating back to 2007. While the issue was supposed to have been resolved, some with as new as 2012 models are still having it. I have a 2011 SE and it just developed the issue. You can find them used on eBay for around $50 but I am going to push to have the dealer stand behind it. Mine has 70K miles on it but this is a manufacturer's issue and they should repair it! Check with your local dealer concerning yours before spending any money. They can replace it or rebuild it depending on the exact depth of the problem. It has something to do with bad diodes in the assembly. Good luck!
