I have a 2001 and a 2011, the head lights do NOT come on and stay on when the key fob is pressed. The headlights only flash when you lock/unlock the doors. They will come on and stay on, if you leave the headlight switch in the on position and use the key fob starter starter if equipped with a remote starter. As for the interior lights, you will have to play with the switches located at each interior light and find the proper setting for the dome lights to come on and stay on until you enter the car and put the key in the ignition and it will also leave the interior lights on the built in timer, to stay on after you exit the vehicle. It sound like someone turned them off either by accident or intentionally. It should be a very simple correction only taking a few minutes.
