appreciative....

Side of engine that does not contain cylinder #1 and follow that exhaust pipe down to bottom of car. I take it you are trying to replace O2 sensor? Downstream sensor

Radiator side of engine is bank 2 on your traverse. Not the sensor by the radiator but follow that pipe down to the next sensor. You will have to get under car.

See if there is an identical pipe behind drivers wheel with a sensor? If not do you have a catalytic converter in the middle of car under with a sensor right after? I figured you probably have 4 sensors. 2 upstream and 2 downstream.

I went on rock auto and it said left downstream is b2s2. This is drivers side. It also said downstream rear. You probably changed downstream front behind passenger wheel. I would look further back under car. About half or three quarters back before muffler but after last catalytic converter.

There is NO drivers side due to the engine being a transverse install meaning the engine sets in West to East. So, you either have a radiator side (front) or firewall side rear off the exhaust manifold. So the definitive answer for bank 2 is the front, radiator side.

I have the same year N model. Bank1 is towards the firewall and bank 2 is towards the radiator. sensor bank1 O2S1 is right after the exhaust manifold of each bank. bank1 O2S2 is after each catalytic converter looking down from the top. The o2 sensor that you can't see is on the firewall side before the Cat. see pic

As a mechanic yes it will. If they didn’t have a purpose they would not be on the car. You can drive a few miles until repaired but long term driving will have financial consequences

I got code p0430. 2009 Chevy Traverse. I replaced my MAF sensor, Throttle Body, TPS, all new ignition coils, no spark plugs, new o2 sensor upstream and downstream but car is still driving like crap and code p0430is popping up...what could it be and what can i do?

Is there any other possible issues? My fleet manager at works argues with me that its not a bad cat but all signs point towards a bad cat in my opinion. The car starts it runs but has zero acceleration. Also if it is a bad cat which one should i start with? To my understanding i have 3...i dont have dual exhaust i have one pipe.

Do a heat test. Temp before and temp after each catalytic converter. Plenty of video on YouTube on how to diagnose a bad one

From a drivers standpoint. The first symptom is lack of power. Bad cat that is

2012 traverse, code P013C, The bank 2 downstream O2 sensor is located just after the bank 2 cat. Converter, pretty much right next to the oil pan toward drivers side. It is easy viewing access and plug access. However, just tried to replace the sensor and the sensor is locked in there so tight i split the O2 sensor socket in half. There is no room above o2 sensor to get enough leverage, so you need to use an extension and go down from the crows foot. Anyway, still working at it.. .

P0430 can also be cause by an exhaust leak in the exhaust flange gasket between the cat and the exhaust pipe (downstream) I had the same problem in my 2010 T'verse I replaced the flange gasket and code went bye bye. And the car sounds alot more quite as well.
