sme vehicles are equipped with a dome override button right near the light switch. if you dont have one, or if the light itself doesnt have a switch on it then you are out of luck.

Or, if you really want to kill them permanently, remove the bulbs or the fuse on that circuit (but this may kill more than you want to).

One other thought - you could secure the door jam switches so they will not actuate the circuit when the door is opened. (They would think the door is always closed.)

Notice on top where you dim the lights, where it says Dome, thats the kill switch.
