drivers side front running lights and drivers side tail lights not working

Asked by Guru38KJ9 Jul 13, 2020 at 02:46 PM about the 2009 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LS Crew Cab RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2009 Chevy Silverado and I checked fuses and replaced bulbs, but Im
still having problems. My bulbs work when I use the remote to lock my doors,
because I locked them looking at the bulbs and they do work.

Did you check for voltage at the proper fuse, headlamp switch in park position? you can use test light to check for voltage at fuse. Your head lamp switch in park lamp position, signals the bcm to ground control side of park lamp relay. when that happens, the load side of park lamp relay is activated and the fuses got hot. Any applicable codes, I did see a b2585 possible for part lamps control.

Are you certain that the passenger side is not doing this also (through several attempts to rule out intermittent instances)? Since you said they all work when you use the remote, then that rules out wiring, voltage, fuses, bulbs, switches, and the "darkness sensor" circuit.
