Truck wont move in drive or in 3rd but park , reverse , neutral 2nd and first all work ?

Why isn't my truck moving in drive or 3rd ... It just
revs up like its in neutral

In park and neutral the vehicle does not move, so they actually do not have to work. If the truck moves only in first and second gear but not in drive, the gear selector shift solenoid in the transmission could be bad. Have you tried changing the fluid and filter? Some times this simple task can help a lot if the problem is internal.
