Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I drive a Mercedes 350R Class. Lately the highway noise has been very loud. The noise is more of a loud hum that anything. No squeaking or grinding of any kind. Usually happens once I accelerate over 30 mph.

I'm thinking that you car has around 80,000 miles on it...suspect if a 4wd model, the CV axle boots have leaked their grease and are starting the familiar helicopter sound that happens when no grease if left~...this is for 4wd models only...doesn't apply to RWD vehicles~

easy enough to shimmy under there with a mechanic's creeper or sheet of cardboard equipped with a dull large phillips screwdriver and poke at the boots to see if any cracking or leakage of grease has occurred~

You would not find leaking molybdenum disuphide grease, if it were just tire noise~
No my noise is in the inside of the car from door panels etc
