how do you know that you have a bad head gasket on 2005 ford escacpe xlt it just runs hot but it will cool it self down and thres no waterin the oil,nor oil in water

Check if the cooling fans are comming on... one quick way to do this is turning on the AC and looking at the fans... of you have coolant loss in the bottle and u don’t see a leak that would be a need for concern... also did you mess with the coolant lately... like change it.. if u did it may have air stuck in the system
