Shift button for 2005 ford escape

Asked by Janet Nov 01, 2019 at 06:52 PM about the 2005 Ford Escape XLT FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Does a 2005 ford escape have a sensor for
the shift button? Could the fuse be a possible
problem for the truck not driving right or
shifting correctly on a 2005 ford escape?

A sensor? There is a button on the shifter to turn the Overdrive Off and or On. If the transmission isn't shifting right, I would have a transmission shop take it for a test drive. How often do you change the transaxle fluid. Any transaxle needs new fluid every 30 to 50K miles or periodic drain and fills to last and shift correctly.
