2009 Sebring convertible trunk will not close after the top has been closed.

The trunk on the 2009 Sebring convertible will not close after the top has
been closed. The dash cluster shows "convertible top in operation" but power
to the motor has been cutoff. Please assist

Was you ever able to figure out how to get it down? Mine is doing the exact same thing.
