2009 Jeep Patriot Catalytic Converter - I'm so confused!
I failed my emissions test in Georgia (required to renew my tag.) My
"Check Engine" light has been on quite some time, and then I was told it
was my catalytic converter.
I've been calling around for quotes and they're all over the board, and the
mechanics don't seem to know a lot about them.
Which catalytic converter do I need?? Under my hood, on the vehicle
emission control information, it shows the following: U.S. EPA: T2 B4
LDV/LDT OBD:CA II
Then the line below that shows: California: OBD: CA ii Certified for sale
ULEV II qualified.
Do I have to get the 50-state converter even though I'm in GA? Or can I
get just a federal 49-state? Will the latter fit? And I've tried to find a 50-
state for the Jeep Patriot and can't seem to find one anywhere. Am I
reading it wrong and I actually have the federal converter?
It's a 2009 Jeep Patriot, Front wheel-drive, 4-cylinder.
I don't want to be ripped off at a repair shop. I can't afford that right now.
This is so confusing. I'm a girl in distress! Please help!
